A custom theme, nothing extra.
WordPress is only as good as the way it is set up. If it is to be secure and to work, WordPress development should be entrusted to professionals in the field. We start the work with an audit: we review the existing site or prepare a new information architecture. The next step is the theme — a custom theme or a ready-made / purchased one. We do not use ready-made themes in new builds, because they bring in dozens of unnecessary features and become a security risk; on sites that already have one, we remove the security risks. In the development stage the block library, custom post types and automations are built. We constrain each block so that an editor cannot break the page. For a multilingual site we recommend deciding at the outset whether all languages are equal or one is the main language with translations — that changes the structure. If the content is currently in Drupal, Joomla or an older version of WordPress, we carry out the migration. We reduce the number of plugins and configure the updates, because most break-ins happen through outdated plugins. After launch the editors get 1–2 hours of training, and the video guide stays with you. You receive a clean custom theme with only what you need, and can then continue with a maintenance contract and monitoring.
